Mother's Day

Well it was my first Mother's Day as a mom so I was pretty excited about celebrating with my love. I couldn't forget about the wonderful moms in my life though. This is what I made for my mom, mother-in-law, and aunt. 

I got 11x14 canvas at hobby lobby, on sale for about $6 (came with 2), felt tip canvas marker, craft flowers, and picture with frame. 

Writing the words was the tricky part. I don't like my handwriting so I printed out the font and size I wanted the writing to be. Then on the back of the paper, I traced and filled in the letters with pencil. 

I placed the paper right side up on the canvas and scribbled firmly on each letter. 

The lead came out very light, but the outline of the letter was present. I then carefully filled out each letter with the marker. I glued on the picture frame and flowers. This was my end result. 

Well I've decided to create a blog. I always see these wonderful ideas on Pinterest and other blogs, but end up adapting the ideas or come up with my own ideas. I kept thinking I should share these ideas with others because maybe somebody will want to use them someday. So anyway here it is! Hope you like it :)
